Babies and Bluebonnets

Texas bluebonnets are a childhood photo right of passage. I couldn’t wait to take my baby into the lush patch and click away as the light breeze swept through the sea of blue.

There were a series of poses I had envisioned to celebrate baby Kaylee Jane’s first bluebonnet season..and I am so excited to end our first bluebonnet season with her and to report I took WAY more photos than anticipated. I don’t have enough wall space for how many perfect pictures of her now so I am thankful to share these with you on my website.

Here’s a recap of this years’ bluebonnet photoshoot(s)

  1. Baby bonnet in the bluebonnets. There was the sweetest picture I came across on Pinterest and I made sure to save it to refer back to, a little baby maybe 2-3 months old laying in the patch of bluebonnets. Kaylee is almost 5 months (preemie adjusted age) and she still loves to lay on her back.

Because of her age and lack of mobility still, this was a easy picture to pull off because she was very relaxed, I had just woken her up from a nap, and was in a great mood. I already had the little white lace bonnet from Easter & her outfit to match finally fit her.

Shhh! Secret tip: adding more bluebonnets in photo shop. Can you notice?
