Where to find bluebonnets in Grapevine Texas

Grapevine Bluebonnets

The hunt for bluebonnets is ON!

I found in Grapevine there is the perfect safe open field for you to check out:

Trinity and Hanover drive, located by the Toyota dealership.

( Directions Copied from Google)

“Best Bluebonnets in Grapevine Texas: From southbound Texas State Highway 121, take the Texan Trail exit. Bluebonnets have been sighted in the fields north of the frontage road, on the right before Main Street. Safe and easy to access, these fields lie behind the Toyota dealer, essentially at the Trinity Parkway and Hanover Drive intersection.”

Here are my tips:

-Go on Sunday when the Toyota dealership is closed

-Pick and overcast day or evening around sunset 6-7PM

-CHECK for any snakes, glass, trash or debris. (There’s always a chance in an open field)

Since the traditional season for bluebonnets blooming in Texas is about 4-6 weeks, there have been several weekends of looking for the perfect day to take our annual bluebonnet photos.

I took these photos during the last week in April of 2022. There were tons of bluebonnets and looked like the bluebonnets that sprouted where starting to die, though I could see green pods and perhaps they indicates more bluebonnets will be blooming!
